Can I See Your Telescope? is an editorial fashion feature for Dust Magazine, defined by its theatrical staging and intimate, high-contrast visual language. Photographer Bella Newman employs low-key lighting and analogue film techniques to carve out distinct textures and silhouettes against dark, nocturnal grounds. The project prioritizes a moody, chiaroscuro aesthetic, utilizing grain and matte finishes to frame its subjects. Casting by Emma Matell features Axel Hermann and Yasmin Wijnaldum, whose presence is complemented by hair styling from Nero and makeup by Marcelo Gutierrez. The series leans into elaborate layering and ornamental detailing, creating a cohesive atmospheric narrative.
