Portraits of Heritage is a branded documentary project presented by Complex and Modelo, highlighting the personal narratives and creative processes of contemporary artists. Produced by Even/Odd, the series leans into an atmospheric, cinematic tone that captures intimate interviews against moody studio settings. The visual approach utilises low-key, chiaroscuro lighting to draw out rich textures and cultural artifacts within each frame. The project makes extensive use of analogue film aesthetics, resulting in a contemplative quality that emphasizes the individuality of the featured subjects.
