Description

For the Chloé Winter 2025 ad campaign, creative director and photographer David Sims captures the quintessence of the Parisian house’s romantic bohemian aesthetic with a collection of imagery that feels both intimate and grandly cinematic. Set against the storied backdrop of a Belle Epoque villa in France, the campaign leans into a nostalgic, high-end editorial sensibility, anchored by the poised performance of model Grace Hartzel. Throughout the series, the focus remains on the interplay of tactile luxury, from the plush depths of faux fur and intricate lace ruffles to the structured elegance of leather handbags and classic silhouettes. Stylist Elodie David Touboul expertly integrates these textures, while the cohesive beauty looks, curated by hair stylist Esther Langham and makeup artist Hiromi Ueda, enhance the ethereal, dreamlike quality of the scenes. With production design from Poppy Bartlett, each frame utilizes natural light to wash over neoclassical interiors and lush, sun-dappled gardens, grounding the collection in a grounded reality that is nonetheless aspirational. The resulting portraits and lifestyle vignettes, often utilizing a shallow depth of field, deliver a sophisticated narrative that celebrates Chloé’s heritage. By blending cinematic techniques with the raw, documentary-style portraiture that Sims is known for, the project successfully balances architectural structure with the fluid, organic femininity that defines the contemporary Chloé woman, ensuring the brand’s enduring relevance within the global luxury fashion market.
