Brioni
Fall 2023 Ad Campaign

Sep 2023
For the Fall 2023 ad campaign, Brioni leans into the quiet power of sartorial heritage, blending the house's storied bespoke traditions with a stark, contemporary visual language. Creative director Norbert Stumpfl orchestrates a narrative that moves beyond the typical runway spectacle, opting instead for a minimalist editorial approach that celebrates the architecture of the garment. Through the lens of photographer Gregory Harris, the campaign captures actor Glen Powell in a series of high-contrast, black-and-white portraits that prioritize clean lines and precise tailoring. These images utilize studio strobe lighting to emphasize the sharp silhouettes of three-piece suits and structured blazers, creating an aesthetic that feels both timeless and aggressively refined. The campaign effectively bridges the gap between high-end fashion portraiture and an intimate documentary look at the artisanal process. Macro shots of hand-stitched buttonholes, tailor's shears, and personalized pattern pieces—captured using both studio techniques and analogue film—provide a grounded, tactile contrast to the polished studio work. Styled by Warren Alfie Baker, the imagery strips away artifice to focus entirely on the interplay between the human form and the texture of fine wool. Ultimately, the project serves as a sophisticated testament to the enduring craftsmanship of the luxury fashion house, presenting a vision of menswear that is as much about the process as it is about the final, impeccable look.
