Description

For its Fall 2024 ad campaign, luxury fashion house Alaïa invites viewers into an intimate, high-tension atmosphere that masterfully bridges the gap between classic editorial portraiture and modern commercial storytelling. Captured by photographer Tyrone Lebon, the project unfolds within the opulent, secluded confines of Le Bristol in Paris, leveraging the hotel’s ornate interiors to create a backdrop of sophisticated domesticity. Creative director Pieter Mulier orchestrates a visual language defined by editorial minimalism and intense character study, allowing the subjects—including Mona Tougaard and Vittoria Ceretti—to inhabit the space with both grace and an unmistakable sense of architectural precision. The collection of images leans into a rich, layered aesthetic where bold, recurring red typography interrupts clean compositions to ground the high-fashion narrative. The use of natural light accentuates the subtle textures of the garments, from sculptural jewelry to sharp tailoring, while occasional high-contrast flash brings a sharp, deliberate focus to the skin and accessories. Working alongside stylist Aleksandra Woroniecka and production designer Arthur De Borman, the team transforms interior settings into character-driven stages. This campaign exemplifies a refined approach to luxury branding, balancing avant-garde styling with a distinct, painterly restraint that resonates as both timeless and urgently contemporary within the competitive fashion industry landscape, effectively cementing the brand's identity as a bastion of modern, elevated design.
