Crafting An Icon is a fashion editorial series for Schön Magazine, showcasing the Adidas Superstar through a lens of movement and architectural tailoring. Photographed by Marcello Junior Dino, the project captures models Dieyna Ba, Hugo Grau, and Milan Bodemer in a range of dynamic, sculptural poses that emphasize the graphic potential of classic sportswear. The production leans into a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing monochromatic palettes and stark studio environments to highlight the footwear’s iconic silhouette. With fashion styling by Patrick Clark, the wardrobe blends structured tailoring with athletic staples, accented by hair styling from Miwa Moroki and makeup by Lisa Legrand. The series employs varied lighting techniques, from high-contrast chiaroscuro to soft, directional studio light, to create a layered and textured visual narrative.
