Acne Studios
Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Sep 2024
The Acne Studios Fall 2024 ad campaign arrives as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, grounding the brand's luxury fashion identity in sharp, evocative portraiture. Featuring Willow Smith as the campaign's central presence, the project leans into a deliberate, high-contrast aesthetic that bridges raw texture with refined structural design. Through the lens of photographer Jordan Hemingway, the imagery highlights a dialogue between distressed denim and sleek, glossy leathers, anchored by a series of studio strobe shots that emphasize form and shadow. Under the creative direction of Jonny Johansson and Willow Smith, the campaign avoids unnecessary ornamentation, instead focusing on the tactile quality of the materials—from faux fur and acid-wash denim to metallic-studded handbags. The execution relies on precise, calculated compositions set against minimalist grey, navy, and charcoal gradients, allowing the collection’s silhouettes to command the frame. Stylist Léopold Duchemin orchestrates the looks with an intentionality that pairs oversized collars and asymmetrical draping with the modern, geometric lines of the featured accessories. With hair by Vernon François and makeup by Yadim, the project achieves a unified, monochromatic rigor that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary. This is a study in character and craft, where every choice—from the silver heart-shaped charms on the bags to the moody, painterly backdrops—serves to elevate the narrative of the house into a cohesive, high-fashion statement.
