ZARA TANAKA by SAYORI TANAKA

Aug 2026
The ZARA TANAKA by SAYORI TANAKA campaign captures a compelling intersection between classic menswear and modern editorial sensibilities, distilling the essence of the collection into a series of intimate, high-impact portraits. Under the creative direction of Gorka Sorozabal, the project leans into a clean, graphic aesthetic that elevates everyday wardrobe staples like denim into a bold visual statement. Photographer Alessio Bolzoni utilizes soft, natural light to emphasize the raw textures of skin and fabric, stripping back the noise to focus on the interplay between the subjects—including Aya Fellaini, Hector Alcantar, and Lot Hemmers—and the oversized, white serif typography that frames their profiles. With styling by fashion editor Ruben Vazquez and hair artistry by Werner Amort, the campaign successfully blends the professional polish of a commercial endeavor with the artistic vulnerability of portraiture. Each frame operates with a deliberate sense of scale, where the integration of text against the soft-lit subjects feels both contemporary and grounded. By prioritizing an editorial minimalism that feels familiar yet never predictable, the campaign solidifies Zara’s commitment to sophisticated menswear branding. Casting director Sigrid Bravo curates a distinct look that resonates throughout the series, ensuring that the imagery remains evocative even when reduced to its most essential elements, ultimately presenting a masterclass in modern fashion communication that respects both the garment and the individual wearing it.
