Fall 2025 Ad Campaign
Date

Apr 2025

Description

For the Valentino Fall 2025 ad campaign, creative director Alessandro Michele orchestrates a nostalgic yet high-fashion narrative that masterfully reframes luxury within the charm of a retro roadside ice cream parlor. Captured through the lens of photographer Glen Luchford, this editorial project leans into a cinematic aesthetic, utilizing a series of vignettes that balance whimsical, everyday lifestyle moments with the brand's signature sophistication. The imagery features diverse talent, including models like Amelia Gray and Sophie Thatcher, who are framed against a consistent backdrop of vintage signage and outdoor seating. By layering elements like a horse, a motorcycle, and even a cockatoo alongside leopard prints, lace-detailed handbags, and metallic footwear, the campaign achieves a playful tension between the mundane and the aspirational. Art direction by Christopher Simmonds maintains a cohesive identity, while set designer Gideon Ponte grounds the work in a textured, lived-in reality. Utilizing live-action technique and soft, natural light, the series emphasizes the tactile quality of the collection—from silver shoes resting on bicycle pedals to the intricate embroidery of leather goods. With styling by Jonathan Kaye, the project successfully evolves the Valentino aesthetic, proving that even the most elevated fashion can inhabit a narrative of charming, sun-drenched simplicity while retaining its status as a pillar of global luxury fashion houses.
