Valentino 'DeVain' 2025 Ad Campaign 2025

About

Valentino explores a maximalist and surrealist narrative for the 2025 'DeVain' ad campaign. Led by creative director Alessandro Michele, the project spans across static imagery and film, weaving luxury accessories into elaborate, multi-layered visual compositions. The campaign employs a collage technique, blending retro-inspired print textures with high-fashion commercial artistry to present handbags alongside botanical elements and animated figures. The aesthetic shifts between classical influences and contemporary graphic design. While some visuals lean into the moody, painterly textures of traditional oil paintings, others adopt a playful, cinematic approach with fast-paced editing and animation. The project was brought to life through the videography of Paul Octaviou and Tina Tona, resulting in a cohesive series that balances editorial photography with surreal artistic layering.
