Dreaming of Kyoto, a fashion editorial series for The Travel Almanac, showcases a collection of high-contrast, monochrome portraits featuring model Deva Cassel. Photographed by Pablo Di Prima, the project utilizes analogue film to capture a range of sculptural silhouettes and textured garments, moving from clean studio environments to dense, foliage-filled outdoor settings. The series emphasizes movement and form, with artful hair styling by Kalle Eklund and makeup by Celine Martin. Fashion editor Virginie Benarroch provides the styling, which oscillates between structured tailoring, botanical-print outerwear, and minimalist apparel. The production is rounded out by casting direction from Bert Martirosyan and set design by Alice Jacobs, creating a cohesive visual narrative centered on detail and expression.
