Reflections On Defiance is a fashion editorial series produced for The Travel Almanac. The project features model Kristen McMenamy in a collection of avant-garde looks, captured through a moody and cinematic lens that leans heavily into low-key / chiaroscuro lighting techniques. Photographer Jordan Hemingway leads the visual execution, working under the creative direction of Paul Kominek. The editorial is characterized by its use of rich textures and saturated palettes, often set against dark or minimalist studio environments. The images utilise an analogue / film aesthetic to ground the theatrical styling and bold silhouettes. The project incorporates fashion styling by Clare Byrne, with hair by Kiyoko Odo and makeup artistry by Cécile Paravina. The visual world is further defined by set design from Max Bellhouse, with casting managed by Bert Martirosyan.
