Sotheby's explores the intersection of fine art and high fashion in 'The Colours of Morocco,' a visually arresting project lensed by photographer Viviane Sassen with fashion styling by Alexandra Carl. The work juxtaposes the raw, earthy textures of North African landscapes with the deliberate, modernist interventions of saturated color planes. Sassen employs a signature mixed-media aesthetic throughout the series, layering translucent overlays, graphic paint strokes, and bold geometric shapes over documentary-style portraiture and architectural shots.
