Fall 2025 Ad Campaign
Date

Jul 2025

Description

For its Fall 2025 ad campaign, luxury fashion house Self-Portrait leans into a nocturnal, high-octane aesthetic that transforms the urban cityscape into a stage for modern glamour. Captured through the lens of photographer Drew Vickers, the series trades standard studio polish for a gritty, cinematic energy, utilizing long exposure and natural light to turn the blur of passing traffic into ethereal light trails. Under the sharp eye of art director Christopher Simmonds, the campaign follows model Jisoo as she navigates rain-slicked streets, her presence punctuated by the deep chiaroscuro lighting that defines the mood. Stylist Emilie Kareh anchors the collection with a focus on tactile luxury, contrasting structured tailoring and fur-trimmed cuffs against delicate, backless lace. Every frame is imbued with a sense of motion, as if capturing a fleeting, high-fashion moment in real time. The integration of live-action techniques adds a layer of depth to the imagery, while bold beauty choices—like the signature red lip and wind-swept styling by Lee Seon-Yeong and Maeng Ssaem—elevate the editorial narrative. By masterfully balancing commercial appeal with a moody, street-inspired perspective, the project succeeds in grounding high-end couture within a dynamic, lived-in world, proving that true luxury thrives just as well in the soft, neon-drenched chaos of the midnight city as it does on the runway.
