Saint Laurent
Winter 2025 Editorial

Sep 2025
The Saint Laurent Winter 2025 editorial campaign captures a sophisticated dialogue between high-fashion rigor and the sun-drenched, architectural soul of Marrakech. Under the sharp creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, the project moves beyond traditional portraiture, opting instead for a deliberate, artistic collage aesthetic. Through the lens of photographer Drew Vickers, the campaign channels a sense of surrealism by juxtaposing structured garments—vibrant mustard yellows, burnt oranges, and glossy vinyls—against the raw, organic textures of desert flora and intricate local mosaics. The use of a distinct paper-tear technique becomes a narrative device, effectively layering disparate environments like lush palm gardens and electric blue Majorelle-inspired backgrounds to frame the models, including Ajus Samuel, Libby Taverner, Lota Blaskovic, and Noor Khan, in a modern, graphic light. By blending editorial minimalism with tactile, high-contrast visual elements, the series reads as a contemporary reinterpretation of the house's heritage. The execution is elevated by the precise styling of Satoko Watanabe, while casting director Samuel Ellis Scheinman ensures the subjects embody the poised, steady gaze central to the Saint Laurent identity. Ultimately, this collection of imagery functions as a vibrant fine art study, where the interplay of saturation and shadow highlights the craftsmanship of the silhouettes, resulting in a campaign that feels both grounded in its exotic locale and unmistakably avant-garde in its execution.
