The Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2024 collection, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, embraces a refined interplay of contrasting textures and sharp tailoring. Photographed by Mark Kean, the lookbook features a series of vertical editorial portraits that balance sheer lace, fluid silk satins, and heavy leather against voluminous faux-fur statement pieces. The aesthetic leans into a desaturated, earthy palette with a recurring mid-century influence, set against both neutral studio backgrounds and raw, atmospheric concrete surfaces. Styling by Duffy and makeup by Anthony Preel emphasize the clean lines and sculptural elements of the silhouettes, while casting by Samuel Ellis Scheinman and manicures by Alexandra Janowski add precise, polished details to each composition. The imagery employs soft, directional lighting to accentuate the tactile qualities of the collection, from ladder-knit fabrics and lace-trimmed slip dresses to high-gloss vinyl outerwear.
