About

Touch Grass is a comprehensive fashion editorial project for PUBLIC Editions, showcasing a blend of studio-based portraiture and observational street photography. The series leans into a clean, contemporary aesthetic, often utilizing natural light to accentuate the tactile qualities of layered textiles, including denim, faux fur, and sheer knits. Photographed by Emily Lipson, the production features a dynamic range of compositions, moving between minimalist studio setups and authentic urban environments to explore form and movement. The project incorporates experimental elements, such as the use of magnifying lenses and candid, interactive staging, to create an observational narrative. Fashion editor and stylist Marie-Therese Haustein drives the visual direction through layered styling, complemented by hair styling from Yoko Setoyama and makeup by Marie Dufresne. The execution reflects a focus on sculptural silhouettes and candid character studies, captured across a variety of settings.
