I must step out on the moors again

Apr 2026
In the striking visual series I must step out on the moors again, PUBLIC Editions masterfully interrogates the boundaries between heritage luxury fashion and the stark, untamed aesthetic of the British landscape. This editorial campaign acts as a high-concept dialogue between the polished artifice of couture and the rugged, weathered reality of a remote moorland setting. Under the guiding vision of Creative Director Alex McWhirter and the lens of photographer Siân Davey, the project leans into cinematic storytelling, utilizing natural light to elevate the tactile richness of complex textiles. Featuring model Helena Olmedo, the imagery oscillates between surrealism and classic portraiture, juxtaposing avant-garde silhouettes against desolate stone archways and mist-covered hills. The styling, curated by Eline Hoyois, weaves together eclectic garments—from intricate lace corsetry to sculptural capes—that command attention against the muted, earthy palette of the terrain. Hair stylist Sophie Jane Anderson and makeup artist Grace Sinnott ensure that every look remains grounded in a raw, authentic beauty that refuses to compete with the dramatic scale of the surroundings. By blending lifestyle warmth with a distinct editorial edge, the project captures a sense of defiant movement and volume. Ultimately, this work stands as a testament to the power of deliberate, context-driven fashion imagery that feels both historical in its grounding and refreshingly modern in its execution.
