Prada
Spring 2025 Ad Campaign

Jan 2025
The Prada Spring 2025 ad campaign serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping away the excess of high-fashion production to focus purely on the structural interplay between silhouette and texture. Under the creative direction of Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada, alongside the sharp vision of creative director Ferdinando Verderi, the campaign leans into a deliberate, stark aesthetic. Captured by the legendary photographer Steven Meisel, the series features actress Carey Mulligan in a chameleon-like performance, shifting between eclectic layers—from sequined midi dresses to utilitarian argyle sweaters—with effortless poise. By utilizing a high-key, stark white studio background and precise studio strobe lighting, the campaign minimizes visual noise, allowing the interplay of color and material to take center stage. The imagery utilizes a range of archival and contemporary references, emphasizing the distinct, graphic tailoring that defines the collection. Each frame is meticulously composed to isolate the tactile quality of a structured leather bag or the intricate movement of fringed hemlines, showcasing the brand’s ability to remain both timeless and provocative. This commercial project avoids digital artifice, favoring the clean lines of portrait photography to highlight the sophisticated versatility of the pieces. Through this series, the collaboration effectively bridges the gap between high-concept luxury fashion and accessible, modern commercial appeal.
