Prada
Fall/Winter 2023 Ad Campaign

Nov 2023
Prada continues its legacy of intellectual luxury with the Fall/Winter 2023 eyewear campaign, a masterclass in editorial minimalism that strips back the noise to focus on architectural form and the interplay of color. Captured through the lens of photographer Willy Vanderperre, this fashion-forward series leans into the tension between static portraiture and organic spontaneity. Creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, supported by the vision of creative director Ferdinando Verderi, orchestrate a campaign where the starkness of a studio strobe environment meets the unexpected introduction of vibrant botanical elements. Whether set against the profound depth of a solid black background or the soft, clinical precision of a neutral grey backdrop, the imagery centers on model Amanda Murphy, whose composed, neutral expression allows the angular, high-contrast eyewear to take center stage. With the styling expertise of Olivier Rizzo and the meticulous beauty direction of hair stylist Anthony Turner and makeup artist Lynsey Alexander, every frame feels deliberate, favoring refined textures and clean, graphic silhouettes over conventional narrative tropes. The campaign is a testament to the power of negative space in commercial fashion, proving that even the most established luxury houses can find freshness in simplicity by treating eyewear as a sculptural object rather than just an accessory.
