Numero Tokyo
Under the Italian Sun

Jul 2026
Under the Italian Sun for Numero Tokyo is a masterclass in editorial fashion photography, where the stark, serene beauty of Lake Como serves as a cinematic backdrop for high-end sartorial narratives. Photographer Noémi Ottilia Szabo expertly captures model Daria Zolotova amidst the shifting light of the Italian landscape, moving effortlessly between the bright, saturated warmth of sun-drenched promenades and the cool, diffused atmosphere of ferry deck transits. The imagery leans into a sophisticated blend of editorial minimalism and lifestyle storytelling, meticulously styled with hair by Liv Holst and makeup by Manuela Balducci to complement the diverse, sculptural textiles of the featured collections. From futuristic, visor-style sunglasses and metallic leopard prints to delicate, beaded floral embroidery and feather-trimmed silhouettes, the project creates a dialogue between industrial maritime environments and organic couture. Casting director Olivier Duperrin ensures a compelling, confident presence throughout the series, whether the subject is reclining against rustic wooden piers or interacting with the architectural geometry of ferry railings. Shot entirely with natural light, the series emphasizes the interplay of high-contrast shadows and soft-focus mountain silhouettes, resulting in a cohesive, atmospheric visual essay that elevates modern luxury fashion through its authentic, grounded engagement with its picturesque, waterside setting.
