Numero Tokyo’s fashion editorial, The Strength of Elegance, presents a series of portraits captured by photography duo The Bardos. The project explores silhouette and volume, moving between controlled studio settings and graphic urban locations to highlight textured tailoring and dramatic outerwear. Fashion editor Dione Davis directs the styling, focusing on layered knits, structured suits, and sculptural gowns. The editorial employs analogue film techniques and natural light to maintain a tactile quality across varied backdrops, from mottled blue studio surfaces to architectural facades. Hair by Kazue Deki and makeup by Asami Kawai provide a clean, polished finish to the series, which features model Sandra Martens.
