For Numéro Tokyo issue 191, photographer Brendan Freeman captures model Michelle Laff in 'Dress to Delight', a fashion editorial set within the rhythmic, sun-drenched confines of a dance rehearsal studio. The series juxtaposes avant-garde, sculptural silhouettes and voluminous textures against the austere, minimalist geometry of ballet barres and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Working with casting director Marina Fairfax, the production highlights the interplay between high-fashion tailoring and organic, candid movement. With hair by Maki Tanaka and makeup by Riona O'Sullivan, the imagery leans into a tactile aesthetic, using natural light to accentuate complex material details, from delicate feather trims to structured, oversized knitwear.
