MoMoney
Brand Identity

Aug 2026
The brand identity for the MoMoney Museum of Money serves as a masterclass in blending playful graphic design with the grounded, textured reality of an urban environment. Executed with a sharp eye for visual impact, the project breathes life into a financial concept through high-contrast typography and a vibrant color palette that demands attention on city streets. By juxtaposing bold, modern iconography—such as the green dollar-eyed smiley face—against traditional red brick architecture, the creative team at Studio Chong successfully elevates the identity from mere commercial signage to a cohesive, immersive brand experience. The campaign utilizes natural light to soften the intersection of geometric lines and historic masonry, while cinematic compositions integrated with live-action techniques bring a sense of movement and accessibility to the institution. Whether displayed on subway platforms or exterior facades, the identity relies on a versatile system of posters and digital assets that utilize varied, pixelated currency symbols to create a narrative that is both educational and deeply engaging. With web development support from Jordan Gilroy, the project ensures that the brand remains consistent across all touchpoints, inviting the public to reconsider their relationship with currency. This work stands as a testament to how intelligent design can transform a static space into a dynamic cultural landmark, proving that financial literacy can be as bold and spirited as it is informative.
