Cosmic Cure is a beauty editorial series commissioned by Mirror Mirror Magazine that explores texture and form through experimental portraiture. The project leans into high-contrast aesthetics, utilizing moody, low-key lighting to isolate the subject against deep, dark backgrounds. The series features model He Zhi and highlights intricate cosmetic details, ranging from crystal-studded eyelashes and glitter accents to dramatic, saturated color palettes. Photographer Jacquetta Clark and makeup artist Tamara Darago collaborate to create a series of portraits defined by chiaroscuro techniques, multiple exposure, and long-exposure motion blur. By focusing on tight compositions, the editorial emphasizes the intersection of graphic beauty styling and atmospheric studio lighting.
