Luminous Layers is a fashion editorial project commissioned by Mirror Mirror Magazine that explores the interplay of volume, texture, and light. The series leans into a moody, high-contrast aesthetic, utilizing low-key chiaroscuro techniques to accentuate the sculptural forms of layered outerwear and detailed tailoring. Captured across a series of vertical studio portraits, the project features a palette of desaturated and earthy tones, with select pops of color provided by garments like red skirts and printed shirts. The imagery focuses on the relationship between heavy, textured fabrics—such as glossy puffer jackets and structured wool coats—and the minimalist, neutral backdrops, creating a clean yet theatrical atmosphere.
