In the Light of Athena is a fashion editorial series produced for Mirror Mirror Magazine. The project features a sequence of portraits that blend classical architectural motifs with botanical textures, utilizing a range of technical approaches to distort and layer the subject. Photographer Evangelos Rodoulis explores high-contrast aesthetics, moving between sharp, sun-drenched outdoor compositions and moody, interior-focused scenes. Edited by Georgette Koning, the series leans into an experimental visual language defined by grainy, layered imagery. Techniques including multiple exposure, double exposure, and solarised colour grading are employed to obscure and frame the model, creating a sense of distance and introspection. The work frequently incorporates natural, earthy tones alongside high-contrast monochrome and saturated crimson lighting, emphasizing an analogue film finish throughout the editorial.
