Mirror Mirror Magazine’s In the Light of Athena is a multifaceted editorial project that explores portraiture through a blend of technical manipulation and naturalistic settings. The series leans into a diverse visual vocabulary, alternating between the sharpness of direct sunlight and hard light projections, and the softer, more abstract qualities found in multiple exposure and solarized effects. Photographer Evangelos Rodoulis and editor Georgette Koning orchestrate a series that balances architectural rigidity with delicate organic elements. The imagery makes frequent use of grainy, analogue-style film textures, alongside monochromatic palettes and layered botanical silhouettes, to build a tactile, atmosphere-heavy narrative across the editorial spreads.
