Marc Jacobs
Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Aug 2024
The Marc Jacobs Fall 2024 campaign is a masterclass in high-contrast visual storytelling, blending the luxury fashion house's signature irreverence with a stark, modern editorial aesthetic. Captured through the sharp, clinical lens of photographer Harmony Korine, the series utilizes studio strobe lighting to carve out bold silhouettes against saturated deep-red velvet backdrops and minimalist architectural settings. The campaign eschews traditional lifestyle softness in favor of a punchy, commercial intensity that centers on texture—from plush faux fur and sparkling sequins to distressed denim and smooth, embossed leathers. This season, the project leans into a star-studded ensemble cast, featuring Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert, and Irina Shayk, whose presence is heightened by the meticulous styling of Alastair McKimm. The imagery channels a tension between the classical and the contemporary, often pairing avant-garde garments with neoclassical sculptures, effectively positioning the iconic Tote and Sack bags as artifacts of modern desire. With set design by Matt Jackson providing a clean, theatrical stage, each frame achieves a polished, symmetrical balance that feels both curated and relentlessly cool. By focusing on these tactile details—and the vibrant manicures of Mei Kawajiri—the campaign asserts a sophisticated, graphic identity that feels inherently rooted in the evolving language of contemporary luxury fashion.
