Issey Miyake presents the Pleats Please Spring/Summer 2024 collection, a campaign that celebrates the brand's signature textile manipulation. Captured by photographer Amit, the series features a cast including Mouna Fadiga, Chen Xi, Marylou Moll, and Cassandra van der Stelt, set against minimalist, neutral studio backdrops that allow the vibrant hues and architectural forms of the garments to take centre stage. The editorial approach leans into clean, soft lighting to accentuate the tactile qualities of the micro-pleated fabric. Styling by Kanako B Koga emphasizes the collection's fluid movement through layered coordinates, sculptural dresses, and jumpsuits featuring abstract, watercolor-inspired motifs. With hair by Yuji Okuda and makeup by Satoko Watanabe, the imagery maintains a playful and relaxed aesthetic while highlighting the geometric precision inherent to the Pleats Please line. Casting for the project was led by Barbara Blanchard.
