The Fall/Winter 2025 campaign for Issey Miyake’s Pleats Please collection explores the sculptural potential of textile and motion. Photographed by Betina du Toit, the series leans into high-speed freeze techniques to capture the fluid, architectural folds of the brand's signature micro-pleated garments. Featuring a diverse cast including Alanna Archibald, Hella Thomale, Lilou Le Sergent, Lydia Celesta, and Seng I U, the campaign highlights the kinetic relationship between fabric and form. The visual narrative relies on minimalist, high-key studio lighting to emphasize the vibrant color palettes and precise accordion textures of the apparel. Casting direction by Barbara Blanchard, with hair styling by Yumiko Hikage, makeup by Rebecca Wordingham, and manicures by Chloe Desmarchelier, the work maintains a clean, editorial aesthetic centered on physical expression.
