The Fall/Winter 25 campaign for Issey Miyake’s Pleats Please collection channels the house’s signature architectural aesthetic through a lens of kinetic energy. Photographer Betina du Toit documents the collection in a series of high-key studio portraits and action shots, utilising high-speed photography to freeze the fluid movement of the micro-pleated garments against stark, white seamless backdrops. Creative execution leans into minimalist framing, allowing the sculptural silhouettes and vibrant colour palettes of the apparel to remain the primary focus. Casting directed by Barbara Blanchard highlights the dynamic motion of models Alanna Archibald, Hella Thomale, Lilou Le Sergent, Lydia Celesta, and Seng I U. The visual language is defined by a tactile approach, with hair styling by Yumiko Hikage and makeup by Rebecca Wordingham enhancing the expressive, mid-air compositions.
