The Issey Miyake Autumn/Winter 2024 collection editorial showcases the house's signature architectural approach to garment construction. Through a series of studio lookbook portraits, photographer Thomas Lohr highlights the intricate textile folding and geometric pleating central to the seasonal designs. The imagery employs a combination of clean white backdrops and high-contrast black backgrounds to frame the sculptural silhouettes, ranging from monochrome ensembles to vibrant, chromatic knitwear. Techniques such as chiaroscuro and soft, diffused studio lighting are used to define the matte textures and precise silhouettes of the collection. The production features a diverse cast of models, including Houjing Cui and Maud van der Meet, with hair styling by Soichi Inagaki and makeup by Stephanie Kunz, bringing a minimalist aesthetic to the high-texture, graphic garments.
