Act One by Family Style serves as a masterclass in modern editorial minimalism, bridging the gap between high-fashion couture and the pragmatic, sophisticated aesthetic of the contemporary workplace. Through a series of sharply composed portraits and lifestyle vignettes, the project explores the interplay of contrasting textures, juxtaposing the raw edge of black leather and industrial hardware against the delicate, ethereal grace of sheer fabrics, lace, and voluminous ruffles. Photographers Melanie and Ramon anchor the visual narrative with a clean, controlled sensibility, utilizing a deliberate mix of studio strobe and natural light to emphasize the structural integrity of the garments. The styling, curated by Nathan Klein, highlights an avant-garde approach to classic tailoring, where oversized silhouettes and painterly prints feel both immediate and timeless. With casting by Anita Bitton and artful contributions from hair stylist Ryo Narushima and makeup artist Thierry Do Nascimento, the models—including Akuol Deng Atem, Auriane Chevènement, and Gret Mateides—inhabit a space that feels simultaneously professional and deeply expressive.
