Imagining Mr. Pei is a fashion editorial series for Elle Men China that explores the intersection of tailored menswear and architectural abstraction. Photographed by Rambo Ding, the project features model Hao Yun Xiang in a series of conceptual compositions that integrate geometric structures, scale models, and string-work as symbolic motifs. The execution relies on a high-contrast chiaroscuro aesthetic, utilising moody, directional studio lighting to emphasize texture, sharp tailoring, and form. Through a blend of monochrome portraits and surreal graphic layouts, the imagery leans into a minimalist, architectural narrative that positions the subject as both participant and curator within a constructed, abstract environment.
