Dunhill
Holiday 2023 Ad Campaign

Nov 2023
For its Holiday 2023 ad campaign, Dunhill masterfully leans into an aesthetic of refined British luxury, creating a visual narrative that feels both timeless and deeply atmospheric. Captured through the lens of photographer Thurstan Redding, the campaign moves beyond standard seasonal product shots, instead opting for a cinematic approach that emphasizes the rich tactility of the collection. The imagery, which blends editorial portraiture with meticulously composed still-life arrangements, utilizes chiaroscuro lighting to elevate premium materials—from pebbled leather briefcases to silk neckties—against a backdrop of warm, sophisticated interiors. With Oli Lacey serving as the primary talent, the series presents a composed, polished figure moving through spaces defined by herringbone floors and ornate architectural details. Stylist Stuart Williamson works in concert with hair artist Stefano Mazzoleni to ensure the tailoring remains sharp, balancing formal tuxedos and structured jackets with an understated ease. The project leverages medium format photography to achieve an exacting level of detail, while natural light and studio strobe setups are layered to build depth. By juxtaposing close-up accessory studies against moody, lifestyle-focused portraits, the campaign successfully frames the Dunhill product as an essential component of an elegant, festive season, resulting in a cohesive visual language that feels entirely at home within the heritage of high-end menswear.
