Dsquared2
Spring 2025 Ad Campaign

Feb 2025
The Dsquared2 Spring 2025 ad campaign is a masterclass in controlled minimalism, stripping back the noise to center the narrative on the tactile quality of high-fashion construction. Under the sharp creative vision of Dean and Dan Caten and Giovanni Bianco, the campaign pivots away from chaotic maximalism, opting instead for a deliberate, editorial approach. Photographed by Andrea Artemisio, the imagery utilizes precise studio strobe lighting to pull focus toward the juxtaposition of materials—sheer lace, distressed denim, and rigid leather—against a restrained, neutral grey backdrop. The series acts as a study in poise, featuring models including Nyanderi Deng and Luka Tesic in compositions that feel both commercial and distinctly enigmatic. Stylist Haley Wollens expertly navigates the collection’s duality, pairing utilitarian outerwear with ethereal, draped sheer gowns, while subtle props like lit candles and crisp red apples introduce a surreal, static energy. The result is a highly polished visual language that favors clean, symmetrical portraiture over grandiosity. By grounding the looks in this quiet, studio-based framework, the collaboration achieves a sophisticated balance between raw street-inflected edge and the elevated polish expected of a major luxury fashion house. Every frame serves to heighten the presence of the garments themselves, ensuring the season’s textures remain the protagonist of this tightly curated, compelling fashion statement.
