Dsquared2
Spring 2024 Ad Campaign

Jan 2024
The Dsquared2 Spring 2024 ad campaign captures a distinct cinematic tension that subverts the traditional luxury fashion house aesthetic. Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles, California, the imagery oscillates between the quiet intimacy of suburban life and the heightened energy of a live-action film set. Under the visionary guidance of creative directors Dean and Dan Caten, alongside creative director Giovanni Bianco, photographer and director Nadia Lee Cohen masterfully orchestrates a visual narrative that feels both voyeuristic and highly curated. The campaign leans into editorial minimalism, utilizing natural light to accentuate the textures of high-fashion ensembles, from sleek metallic accents to layered pearls and intricate denim detailing. Featuring models Nataša Vojnović, Tony Ward, Brady Johnson, and Hudson Primo & Mahi, the project highlights the brand's penchant for eclectic layering and bold silhouettes. Stylist Haley Wollens anchors the wardrobe choices, while hair by Jake Gallagher and makeup by Yadim create a polished yet lived-in look that mirrors the atmospheric, lifestyle-focused compositions. By integrating a raw, behind-the-scenes perspective—complete with visible boom microphones—the campaign creates a bridge between commercial polish and authentic storytelling. This juxtaposition of bright, crisp outdoor shots against moody, low-lit evening vignettes showcases a sophisticated balance, solidifying the brand's position at the intersection of high fashion and evocative, character-driven creative production.
