Dries Van Noten
Dries Van Noten Woman Fall Winter 20 ...

Mar 2026
The Fall/Winter campaign for Dries Van Noten serves as a masterclass in tactile storytelling, grounding the brand's legendary penchant for eclecticism in a sharp, disciplined studio environment. Captured through the lens of photographer Iñigo Awewave, the editorial series leans into a high-contrast aesthetic that elevates the collection’s intricate textiles, ranging from dense floral jacquards and heavy Fair Isle knits to precise, tailored outerwear. By stripping away extraneous environmental details in favor of a stark, focused background, the project directs all attention to the sophisticated interplay of pattern and texture. Fashion editor Katie Burnett crafts looks that feel both archival and contemporary, pairing crisp white shirting and classic striped ties with ornate gold jewelry, creating a tension between traditional structure and fluid decoration. Complementing this, hair stylist Olivier Schawalder introduces an industrial edge with tight, pin-heavy updos, while makeup artist Yadim opts for a clean, natural finish that allows the depth of the garments to command the frame. Through the skillful use of studio strobe lighting and dramatic low-key chiaroscuro techniques, the campaign transforms apparel into a study of craftsmanship. The resulting imagery is less a traditional fashion advertisement and more a series of portraits that celebrate the rhythmic, layered complexity inherent in the Dries Van Noten identity, masterfully orchestrated by casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro.
