Dust Magazine China Down To Earth 2026

About

Down To Earth is a fashion editorial produced for Dust Magazine China. The project features model Kai Schreiber captured in a series of urban settings, ranging from bustling Parisian street corners to textured city architecture. Photographer Sebastian Kapfhammer employs long exposure techniques to render pedestrian traffic as motion blur, establishing a contrast between the stillness of the subject and the pace of the city. The series utilizes natural light to emphasize the intricate beadwork, dimensional floral textures, and feathered detailing of the evening wear. With fashion styling by Xander Ang and makeup by Gillian Campbell, the editorial relies on an analogue film aesthetic to maintain a consistent visual tone across both warm and cool palettes.
