Captured for Dust Magazine China, DIOR Beauty: LOST IN THE MIRROR is an experimental beauty editorial project exploring the intersection of cosmetics and art. Under the creative direction of Peter Philips, the series moves beyond traditional portraiture by integrating graphic elements, tactile fabric overlays, and unexpected props to reframe classic beauty aesthetics. Photographer David Ferrua captures a sequence of high-impact imagery marked by bold makeup artistry, utilizing clean studio light to maintain a sharp, contemporary finish. With art direction by Dou Qianlin, the project features intricate styling and avant-garde motifs, ranging from vibrant sequin embellishments to geometric color interventions. The production was supported by hair stylist Sebastien Bascle and manicurist Sylvie Vacca, with casting directed by David Chen and production managed by Julien Pegourier.
