Description

Diesel continues to push the boundaries of luxury fashion houses by embracing a surrealist narrative for its F/W 2026 campaign. Moving away from traditional high-gloss studio aesthetics, the campaign utilizes a bold collage technique, placing life-sized, vibrant, red-outlined cardboard cutouts of models directly into the bustling, organic streets of India. This intentional friction between the two-dimensional fashion figures and the raw, unscripted reality of passing pedestrians and historical architecture crafts a striking commercial visual language. The creative vision, spearheaded by designer Glenn Martens and art director Christopher Simmonds, turns the concept of a fashion shoot on its head, quite literally forcing the viewer to engage with the interplay of graphic art and urban documentary. Stylist Ursina Gysi curates a collection that pops against the grit of the street, while photographers Erika Kamano, Fish Zhang, and Verity Smiley-Jones capture the compositions with a clinical precision that underscores the surreal atmosphere. By anchoring such high-concept streetwear in an unpredictable, real-world setting, the campaign eschews standard aspirational tropes in favor of something more provocative and memorable. With intricate contributions from makeup artist Stephanie Kunz and hair stylist Andrea Martinelli, the project cements Diesel’s reputation for disruption, proving that the most effective fashion storytelling often lives in the chaotic space where high-end design meets the everyday world.
