Challenger: Balloon

Challenger’s 'Balloon' project is an animated commercial campaign that illustrates the complexities of retirement planning through an intricate, tactile lens. Utilizing stop-motion and paper art techniques, the work translates dense financial concepts into a visual narrative of a dimensional paper city. The project features a central sequence where miniature figures emerge from a landscape constructed entirely of newspaper, before a character ascends into the sky alongside paper balloons and airplanes. The production was led by agency 303 Lowe, with Fin Design + Effects overseeing the production and post-production VFX, resulting in a cinematic finish that balances retro aesthetics with modern animation.
