Balenciaga
Bel Air Bag Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Oct 2024
For the Fall 2024 Bel Air Bag campaign, Balenciaga strips away the excess to deliver a masterclass in luxury fashion house branding. Under the unwavering vision of creative director Demna, the project leans into a severe, architectural minimalism that demands total focus on the product. Captured through the sharp, technical lens of photographer Mario Sorrenti, the series employs studio strobe lighting to flatten the environment into a clinical, high-contrast white void. This deliberate lack of artifice forces the viewer to confront the tactile reality of the Bel Air tote, highlighting its prominent metallic hardware and substantial leather construction. The campaign features a powerhouse ensemble including Kate Moss, Juyeon, and Kit Butler, who embody the collection’s rigid yet oversized silhouette. By pairing iconic faces with a stark, editorial aesthetic, the visuals transcend the traditional commercial portrait. The styling remains intentionally understated, with layered denim and monochromatic hoodies acting as a neutral frame for the handbags. Whether through the matte finish of the accessories or the deliberate clarity of the composition, the project functions as a bold statement on the endurance of the classic structured tote. It is a precise, high-fashion execution that avoids trend-chasing in favor of a timeless, confident geometry that feels quintessentially Balenciaga.
