Bio
Emerging from the vibrant Northern Beaches of Sydney, Joseph's artistic journey was profoundly shaped by the creative influences surrounding him. Mentored by his two aunts—a celebrated Sydneyn model and a visionary creative producer known for representing some of the nation’s most revered photographic talents—Joseph developed an early appreciation for the transformative power of imagery. After honing his craft at the esteemed National Art School in Darlinghurst, where he majored in photography, Joseph gained invaluable experience by assisting some of Sydney’s leading professionals across diverse sectors, from advertising to high fashion. This foundation paved the way for his bold move to Paris, a city synonymous with style and innovation. In Paris, Joseph had the privilege of working alongside renowned fashion photographers, including the illustrious Ellen von Unwerth. His collaborative spirit flourished as he partnered with notable figures such as Suzanne Koller and Claire Thomson Jonville at esteemed publications like Self Service and Vogue. His distinctive vision has attracted a loyal clientele, with prestigious brands such as Dior Makeup, Louis Vuitton, Le Bon Marché, and Stella McCartney commissioning his exquisite still life and fashion photography. Joseph's artistry is characterized by his technical mastery, innovative use of light, and an Sydneyn openness that breathes life into every frame. He currently resides in Paris, where he continues to create compelling visual narratives that resonate across the fashion world and beyond.
