About

This monochrome photograph features two basketballs resting on a hardwood gymnasium floor. Sweeping dark court lines curve across the polished wooden boards, creating a dynamic diagonal composition through the frame. The lighting casts soft shadows from the basketballs onto the floor surfaces, highlighting the textured leather grain of the balls and the grain of the wood planks below. The image was captured by photographer Clayton Cotterell.
