Zalando
Monochromatic

Feb 2026
Zalando’s Monochromatic project serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping away the noise to celebrate the intricate interplay of fabric, form, and skin tone. By leaning into a strictly restrained palette, the campaign elevates the everyday wardrobe through a sophisticated lens that prioritizes architectural silhouette and tactile depth. Across a series of portraits, the project explores the interplay between light and shadow, utilizing soft, natural light to emphasize the fine weaves of charcoal knits, structured wool-blends, and the sculptural elegance of gathered necklines. With art direction from Carlos Platard de Quenin, the visual narrative finds its strength in the deliberate repetition of neutral tones, allowing the subtle nuances of metallic jewelry and human expression to take center stage. Casting director and producer Mireia Torra curates a diverse ensemble of models, including Ajok Madel and Siobahn Filliettaz, who ground the high-fashion concept with a contemplative, authentic presence. The styling, polished by the meticulous work of hair stylist Gregor Makris and makeup artist Rafa Delgado, leans into a raw, unfiltered aesthetic that highlights natural textures. By blending lifestyle warmth with a sharp, fashion-forward sensibility, Monochromatic reads as a confident exercise in style, proving that when the color palette is muted, the artistry inherent in material and composition speaks with much greater volume.
