We Were Promised Peace is a fashion editorial series for Purple Magazine that navigates the intersection of sculpture and silhouette. Captured through the lens of photographer Allan Hamitouche, the project leans into high-contrast monochrome and analogue film aesthetics to emphasize the tactile qualities of the wardrobe. Fashion editor and stylist Paul Sinclaire builds a collection of experimental drapery and layered textures, pairing avant-garde pieces like metallic masks and voluminous tulle with casual athletic elements. The production is supported by hair stylist Matt Mulhall and set designer Chloe Barriere, whose work within the controlled, neutral studio environment highlights the clean lines and deliberate geometry of each look. Featuring talent including Ari Seymour, Elvis Wallace, Luka De Jong, Matthew Poisson, Neo Winwed, and Raphaël Hosatte, the series captures an intimate, contemplative register through soft, directional lighting.
