Wallpaper Magazine’s 'Play' is a multi-part fashion editorial exploring texture, form, and silhouette. The project utilizes a clean, minimalist aesthetic to frame a series of high-contrast portraits and full-length studies, moving between bright studio minimalism and moody chiaroscuro lighting. Photographer Alexa Sonsino directs the series, working alongside fashion stylist Lune Kuipers to curate an eclectic wardrobe of velvet, tweed, and feathered accents. The editorial features model Evgenia Nirka across a variety of settings, supported by hair styling from Yumiko Hikage and makeup artistry by Kamila Vay. The collection leans into editorial experimentation, employing techniques like long exposure and motion blur to anchor the fashion-focused narrative.
