For the September 2026 issue of Vogue Polska, creative director Chiara Janczarek and photographer Erdem Moralioglu MBE deliver a masterclass in editorial fashion, centering on the multifaceted persona of model Karen Elson. This high-fashion campaign masterfully oscillates between historical opulence and precise sartorial rigor, capturing a striking duality in style. In one instance, Elson is framed against a rich, vintage-inspired tapestry, wearing a complex, multi-textured patchwork ensemble that leverages natural light to emphasize its metallic sheen and whimsical feathered accents. Shifting tone completely, the subsequent look leans into a refined, menswear-inspired aesthetic, utilizing a clean, off-white studio backdrop and soft light to highlight the sharp lines of a traditional black tailcoat and structured collar. The collaboration succeeds by grounding such disparate visuals in a cohesive, elevated editorial language that feels both timeless and forward-thinking. With meticulous hair and makeup execution by Emil Zed, the imagery avoids the pitfalls of over-stylization, instead allowing the textures of wool, marble, and ornate historical motifs to serve as the narrative’s primary protagonists.
