VOGUE POLSKA
Downtown

May 2026
For Vogue Polska, the Downtown editorial campaign offers a masterclass in modern luxury fashion, seamlessly blending nostalgic 1960s sensibilities with a sharp, contemporary urban lens. Under the creative direction of Chiara Janczarek, the project captures an evocative, cinematic mood that channels the elegance of golden hour in the city. Photographer Ina Levy expertly utilizes natural light to emphasize the architectural rigour of the settings, moving between high-contrast black and white frames and warm, saturated color palettes that highlight the collection's texture. The styling by Diletta Ariano leans into minimalist refinement, juxtaposing structured tailoring, trench coats, and vintage automobiles to create a polished, cohesive narrative. Emphasizing the sculptural, voluminous hair styling by Emil Zed, the project finds a powerful anchor in the presence of model Caren Jepkemei, whose poised performance brings an undeniable humanity to the sterile, modernist urban backdrop. Through the effective use of chiaroscuro lighting and cinematic composition, the imagery feels simultaneously grounded and aspirational. This editorial succeeds by balancing the precision of luxury fashion photography with the raw, textural quality of analogue film, resulting in a series that feels both timeless and urgent. Every frame is meticulously curated, from the deliberate choice of accessories to the interplay of shadow and concrete, reflecting a sophisticated vision that resonates far beyond the page.
