Produced in collaboration with Vice, this editorial project explores the craftsmanship behind the Akira Kurosawa X Suntory Boss Coffee collaboration. Through a series of documentary-style photographs, the work documents an artisan at work within an industrial textile studio, highlighting the tactile nature of garment production and the methodical process of creative creation. Photographer Seiya Taguchi utilizes natural light and analogue film techniques to capture a moody, candid atmosphere. The series employs a mix of warm color grading and high-contrast monochrome framing, emphasizing the textures of the raw studio space and the artisan’s focus on his craft.
